Sooners lead the way in All-Big 12 Preseason Team

Earlier this morning, the Big 12 announced their preseason teams, both offense and defense, for the upcoming season. The Sooners led the way tied for first with five players named to the first team. On offense, the Sooners had three players led by senior quarterback Baker Mayfield. Mayfield was followed by his expected top target Mark Andrews, and his best lineman Orlando Brown. On the other side of the ball, Jordan Thomas and Ogbonnia Okoronkwo lead the way. Both are looking to capatalize on a strong year from a season ago. On top of leading the Big 12 in players on the first team, Baker Mayfield took home one of the conferences biggest preseason honors. He was named the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. This rightfully so, as he has had two top five Heisman finishes and led OU to consecutive 11 win seasons. You can find the full list of the preseason first team below:
